Susan Boyd

Susan Boyd has been painting professionally for more than 30 years.  She received degrees in Art and Communications from Concordia College, Moorhead, Min. Originally from Detroit Lakes, Minn., Susan and her family have lived in Fargo since the mid 70s. She is a past recipient of a McKnight Foundation Visual Artist’s Grant and has received national recognition for her work.

Boyd works in mixed media and is known for her creativity in abstract and contemporary works and experimental techniques. She has also gained recognition for her original Hart Works greeting card line.  Susan has been successful creating commissioned works for clients, collaborating with interior designers, and selling her art in shows, galleries and fine art fairs and festivals like The Edina Art Fair.

Susan was recognized as the 1999 Woman of the Year in the Arts, an honor awarded her by the Fargo-Moorhead YWCA.  In addition to creating art, she teaches adult education, private art classes and volunteers as an arts mentor for Moorhead Public Schools.  She has served on the Board of the Plains Art Museum in Fargo.
